wasn't thrilled with the choice for Bilbo, I expected a comic turn. he wasn't that bad and the film as a whole was up there with LOTR. brilliant GCI and a great visual treat.
Incredible

Very, very good film, amazing CGI and relatively true to the book...
Good, but too long

This film is very well made with good acting, Freeman in particular is very good, but it does feel just too long. It goes on for 3 hours but it seems as though massive sections could have been cut from the film without making any real difference.
