Set in Middle Earth 60 years before ‘The Lord of the Rings’, ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’, follows Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he sets out on an epic quest to reclaim stolen treasure from the dragon Smaug.

After being chosen by Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Bilbo joins a company of thirteen dwarves to clash swords with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers...not forgetting Gollum.

Excellent film spoiled by 45 fps

Having waited eagerly for the release date since the announcement came that Peter Jackson would be bringing The Hobbit to life, my hopes were high and I was anxious that they would not be fulfilled. I shouldn't of doubted this for a second as The Hobbit was just as good as expected, beautiful scenery, stunning battle scenes, comedy and adventure!!! A sure pleaser to any Lord of the Rings fans as well as opening up a new audience for The Hobbit franchise as a lone stander.

As an avid film fanatic I was curious to see what difference 48fps brought to the film, opposed to the usual 24fps that films are shot in. Results were outstanding, the battle scenes and all movement was smoother than you will of ever seen before, and everything seems a lot more life like - on top of the 3D!

An absolute must watch for 2012!!!
