Seventies cop classic ‘The Sweeney’ returns to the big screen, this time with the action switched to modern-day London and Ray Winstone as Jack Regan; the tough Flying Squad detective with a most unconventional approach to coppering.
Aided by George Carter (Ben Drew aka Plan B), ‘The Sweeney’ follows his personal mission to take an old nemesis off the streets. But with bureaucracy and downsizing getting in the way of his particular brand of law enforcement, will Regan get his man before the changing police force gets him?
Strong bloody violence, strong language and sex references..

2. A British Arts Movie : After The Kings Speech and The Best Marigold Hotel - what on earth happened ?? Don't get me wrong - I love a shoot 'em up movie - but this one I spent the entire 112 minutes thinking - should I leave ??? The whole film consists of bad acting / poor script (REALLY ?? the Flying Squad is based in a funky studio loft 15 floors up an office block - no off your marks with that lot ! - never mind the chase scene at the end - even Top Gear had a few things to say about that !
Last words - don't waste your money on this one !
satisfactory
