What's the plot?
The cool cat and chums are back on the block in 'Top Cat: The Movie', this time facing a hard-line regime laid down by a new Police Chief intent on ridding the city's alleyways of their feline feistiness. With their easy life under threat as Dibble is forced to get tough, are TC's nine lives finally over?

If you remember the original Top Cat cartoons you will hate this. You will hate it even if you don't remember the great originals (modelled on Sgt Bilko). Awful animation, a really awful plot that barely hangs together, and sparse jokes.

My 6 yo thought it was 'ok' but he is generally generous like that, for everyone else this is one to avoid even on the bargain DVD rack in the supermarket where it is sure to end up shortly...

Was really looking forward to seeing this but was quite disappointed even the children were bored

As a child growing up in the 1970's I used to love all the Hanna Barbera cartoons and Top Cat was no exception. I'd heard mixed reviews about this before my two children begged me to take them to see it, so went with an open mind. At times I found myself clock watching (not a good sign) and felt disappointed. The makers couldn't get the voices to synch with the characters mouths and I found the plot was so unbelievable I nearly walked out of the film half way through. I did force myself to sit through it for my two children's sakes but not worth paying nearly £20 to see. A poor imitation of a classic tv cartoon series
