What's the plot?
‘The Last Stand’ tells the story of what happens when veteran lawman Sheriff Ray Owen’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) sleepy border town is transformed into a battleground following a ruthless drug baron’s daring escape from custody.

Heading for the Mexican border with in a high-powered supercar with a band of ruthless mercenaries in tow, the fugitive is desperate to reach freedom. But have Owen’s small time police force got what it takes to stop him?

‘The Last Stand’ also stars Eduardo Noriega (The Method) and Forest Whitaker (Platoon).

A Worthy Return to the Big Screen for Arnie

Great film, thoroughly enjoyed. A typical Arnie film except it acknowledged the fact he was getting older. Good story, a couple of cheesy one liners that lets face it, are always present in his films. A great tongue in cheek film.

The Last Stand

A very enteraining movie which proves that Arnie is still just as good now as he's always been. Not something I would necessarily need to see again, however worthy come back which gives hope that Arnie could possilby keep going for som years

You should go out right now if you have ever found yourself enjoying an Arnie one-liner and see this film. Whether the poor box office results affect Arnie's future career or not is hard to tell, since he's already been announced to play Conan again next year, and we have a Stallone/Schwarzenegger double act film coming later this year in the form of The Tomb. All I hope for is that there's still room in the public's heart for a charismatic, muscle-bound action hero that isn't yet another analytical detective a la Sherlock Holmes. I implore everyone to see this film, even to just goad studios into making for films like this.
