About this Film

Mother!

ODEON says...
A psychological thriller centred on the life of a seemingly ordinary couple, ‘Mother!’ tells the story of how uninvited houseguests disrupt their previously peaceful, tranquil lives.

What they thought was going to be a simple, everyday visit instead ends up sending them into a dramatic downward spiral, in this riveting drama from the acclaimed director of ‘Noah’ and ‘The Wrestler’.

Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem star in ‘Mother!’, which sees director Darren Aronofsky return to the genre that brought him so much success with ‘Black Swan’.

WIthout hyperbole I can honestly say this is the worst film i have ever seen. A classic example of a director thinking he is cleverer than filmgoers, while actually being clueless himself. Awful.

Mother! It should have been 'Oh *** *** Mother!' Jennifer Lawerence is always worth a watch, especially from a mans point of view but this is the only thing this flim has going for it! Hard work, at best and one to avoid!

This is an Art house biblical abstract film. Cast is great, but not an enjoyable watch and very hard going. You will be wasting your money if you aren't wanting a left field film

No spoon-feeding

This is a macabre piece that poses more questions than it answers much as The Shining does. Is it a metaphor for our tolerance of poor behaviour from people, a metaphor for adultery, a metaphor for religion or a metaphor for celebrity cult? Chilling!
