About this Film

Nocturnal Animals

ODEON says...
Susan is an art gallery owner who left her husband 20 years ago. Still haunted by her memories, she receives a package from him – his new novel, ‘Nocturnal Animals’.

It’s a violent, sad story of a father’s family holiday turning deadly and terrible. Susan doesn’t know what to make of it: is he threatening her? As she gets further and further through the book, she begins to reminisce about her marriage, and the dark truths swirling in her memories come to the fore.

A twisty noir thriller from Tom Ford, acclaimed director of ‘A Single Man’, ‘Nocturnal Animals’ stars Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Without Amy Adams it would have been rubbish. The ending is unbelievable - in a poor sense! I had to google an understanding and even then I'm not impressed. The critics got it hopelessly wrong the reviewers here are spot on.

This is a film that tries to be intellectual however I found it extremely tedious.

nothing else

If you have nothing else to do then watch this film. The first half an hour is boring and very predictable. The rest is okay and pointless. The cast is great, the script is great but the story is worth nothing.Tom Ford preaching things we all know.

A thinker

I had both a love and hate relationship with this film. The story was gripping and had me questioning it throughout. The ending wasn't as I expected and I was left still asking many questions. I would certainly recommend this to a friend.
