About this Film

Passengers

ODEON says...
Aurora and Jim are ‘Passengers’ aboard the Avalon, a spaceship making a 120-year voyage to another planet. They were stored in hibernation – but they’ve woken up 90 years too soon.

They’re alone, and with no one else awake, a tentative romance begins to blossom. But they soon realise that something is seriously wrong with the Avalon, and they’re the only ones in a position to help. Why did they wake up so early?

Even if there’s danger awaiting, when Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are among the ‘Passengers’ on the ship, how can you say no to the journey?

We nearly didn't see this film because of negative reviews but I'm so glad we did as we thought it was brilliant. Great acting and a great story and very exciting.

It's okay.

'Passengers' Review: The first half of this film, started of really strong in the sense that I actually believed it would have exceeded my expectations, & would have proved me wrong & would have been 10x better than I would have hoped for. It'd gotten to the point that had Chris Pratt had remained the sole character throughout the entirety of the film, it still would have been pretty good. Visually outstanding, we are eventually introduced to android 'Arthur', who was probably the most entertaining throughout the entire film, with some lovely witty & inspiring life advice, I was content. My only flaw, for the first half is the fact that it delved straight into the plot, without giving us a chance to digest anything that would have worthy taking note of. The second half, was less intriguing it became the ultimate flop & took a turn for the worse. After a while it became repetitive & tiresome to watch, as we're introduced to the likes of Jennifer Lawrence's character. Whilst this was probably the only role - (alongside her role, in The Hunger Games), that was actually bearable to sit through, the storyline became confused within itself & often seemed to take a turn in different directions. Both actors were plausible to watch, at the best of times whilst at the same time, the storyline could have been a great deal better, & development in character I'd rate this a 6 out of 10.

I loved it
