About this Film

Sully: Miracle On The Hudson

ODEON says...
Captain ‘Sully’ Sullenberger was the pilot of a plane with 155 people on board. Shortly after takeoff, both the engines were disabled, forcing him to land on the Hudson River.

It was an unprecedented accident, and one he could never have trained for. Miraculously, he made the landing and saved the lives of all his passengers. But an investigation into the crash and the media frenzy around it threatened to destroy his career and reputation nonetheless.

Directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks, brace for impact as ‘Sully: Miracle On The Hudson’ reveals the incredible true story behind the extraordinary event.

Cannot praise Sully enough as a magnificent film! Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney ensured it was true film not a corporate one. Pity about Odeon Putney sound......

Yet another great performance by Tom Hanks in his portrayal of a real life hero. Well worth seeing and so different from what you might be expecting. I give it five stars.

Reviewer: Godfather Part 2Date: 2016-12-13

This film might not be what you expect. It is non-linear and focuses a lot on the big insurance bosses trying to condemn Sully for his life-saving quick thinking. But in the end Sully's heroism defeats them. Tom Hanks is superb as the tortured Sully.

Sully's Lies

Reviewer: ConyDate: 2016-12-09

This movie, in an effort to make a story, puts in fake controversy over whether Sully could have made it to a runway or not. This did not happen in real life. This doesn't subtract from the fact that this movie is amazingly acted and directed.
