About this Film

The Queen's Corgi

ODEON says...
Since his arrival at Buckingham palace, Rex lives a life of luxury. Top dog, he has superseded his three fellow Corgis in Her Majesty's heart. His arrogance can be quite irritating.

When he causes a diplomatic incident during an official dinner with the President of the United States, he falls into disgrace. Betrayed by one of his peers, Rex becomes a stray dog in the streets of London. How can he redeem himself? In love, he will find the resources to surpass himself in the face of great danger...

The trailer for this film looked great- cute, funny and family friendly. How wrong I was. It started off quite innocently but descended into a bizzar film of dog breeding, attempted murder and fight clubs!? It is completely innapropriate for most children. Full of sexual innuendo, social stereotypes and violence. I'm not one of those mum's who's ridiculously super sensitive over film content but this had me cringing so much that we didn't finish the film.

I'm afraid this film is the worse I've seen, I took my 3 children aged 9, 12 and 14 and I must say I didnt feel some of the scenes where appropriate for children, the film didnt have much of a story line, was basically about dogs wanting to breed and violence, it was incredible boring and I found myself cringing during certain scenes as I didnt feel comfortable with my children watching them. If you want a film with humour and animals you can love this is not the film to watch.
