Black Widow

Directed by: Cate Shortland

Cast: Scarlett Johannson, Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, David Harbour, William Hurt, O-T Fagbenle

Black Widow release date: 9 July 2021

Years before the Thanos Snap™ and Black Widow’s ultimate sacrifice, Natasha Romanoff was up to her wrist gauntlets in trouble.

Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, this blockbuster prequel sees Romanoff, alone and on the run, caught up in a conspiracy whose tendrils reach back into her Soviet-era training in the infamous Red Room.

Recruiting members of her adoptive family from her early years, Black Widow sets out to unravel the mystery and throw down with Taskmaster, a mysterious villain who can mimic any opponent’s fighting style with deadly accuracy.

Fast & Furious 9

Directed by: Justin Lin

Cast: Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Nathalie Brewster, Sung Kang

Fast & Furious 9 release date: 9 July 2021

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his ragtag family of petrolheads, hackers and car modders are back for the ninth outing of what has become the most relentlessly entertaining blockbuster series ever.

Expect heart-in-the-mouth action, insane stunts, wisecracks and a whole lot of heart from the crew as they go toe-to-toe with former enemy Cipher (Charlize Theron) and one Jakob Toretto (John Cena) – a deadly assassin, master thief, and Dom and Mia’s estranged younger brother.

Top Gun: Maverick

Directed by: Joseph Kosinski

Cast: Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Val Kilmer, Miles Teller, John Hamm, Ed Harris

Top Gun: Maverick release date: 19 November 2021

While peers and former rivals like Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky (Val Kilmer) have risen up the ranks since graduating from the US Navy’s prestigious Top Gun fighter pilot school, Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell has remained in the cockpit as a Captain and a test pilot.

But when a new international threat demands Maverick return to Top Gun as an instructor, he finds himself training the son of ‘Goose’, his former flying partner, killed in an accident caused by Mitchell’s carelessness years before.

With tensions running high in the sky and on the ground, can Maverick train his new recruits while dealing with his personal demons?

The Suicide Squad

Directed by: James Gunn

Cast: Margot Robbie, Taika Waititi, Joel Kinnaman, Idris Elba, Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, Viola Davis, John Cena, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, Peter Capaldi, Jai Courtney

The Suicide Squad release date: 30 July 2021

James Gunn performed big-screen magic with the Guardians of the Galaxy, turning a Marvel sideshow into one of the most beloved outposts of the MCU.

Now he’s turned his attention to this inspired reboot of DC Comics’ band of also-ran villains, The Suicide Squad.

Boldly embracing a no-holds-barred R-rating (just like the Deadpool films), Gunn’s Suicide Squad has swelled its ranks to 16 second-tier baddies and the film is going to go for a blood-splattered, 1970s war-movie vibe that sounds amazing.

Expect a lot of villains getting unexpected early baths in one of the most entertaining blockbusters for years, and another bold turn for the DC Extended Universe.

No Time to Die

Directed by: Cari Joji Fukanaga

Cast: Daniel Craig, Anna de Armas, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw

No Time to Die release date: 30 September 2021

Ernst Stavro Blofeld is imprisoned. James Bond has been out of the spy game for five years.

But when Bond’s CIA buddy Felix Leiter asks for his help in tracking down a missing scientist, a perfect storm of peril and intrigue breaks, sweeping up James, and the assorted friends and foes from No Time To Die into its vortex.

At the cold, dead eye of the storm lurks Lyutsifer Safin – a man with a chilling plan that threatens the lives of millions.
